Join us for Daffodil Day on April 9

If you live in the Vancouver area, I hope you will join us for our Daffodil Day Celebration at the Vancouver Art Gallery this Friday, April 9.

The official ceremony starts at 12:00pm — if you work downtown, do join us on your lunch break.

We have a number of speakers lined up (including me) — you’ll not want to miss that! But seriously, what makes this Daffodil Day event so special is the many ways you can participate personally:

  1. Join the crowd and listen to the speakers share their cancer stories
  2. Add a name to the Wall of Hope art installation — show those fighting cancer that you are thinking of them. The Wall of Hope will be open to the public from 9:00am on April 9.
  3. Plant a symbolic daffodil to remember loved ones lost to cancer
  4. Wear your daffodil pin to show your support. If you don’t have a pin yet you’ll be able to get one at the event.
  5. Give a donation and help the Canadian Cancer Society fight back against cancer through research, prevention and support services.

If you don’t live in Vancouver, there are many more events happening around the province and in the Yukon on April 9. Check here for details.

Check back here next week for a re-cap of the event (including photos)!
