What’s your game plan?

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

Our men’s health campaign in full swing. This year, Geroy Simon and Jason Arakgi of the BC Lions have come on board to help us get the word out about cancers below the waist — prostate, colorectal and testicular. These three cancers account for more than 40% of all new cancer cases in men. So, like the video says, it’s important for men to have a game plan – know your body, know the signs and symptoms and talk to your doctor.

Check out more videos on our website: http://www.cancergameplan.ca/. You’ll also find great information about cancer prevention delivered in a fun and straight forward way.

Share the site with your friends – especially all the men in your life.

We’re also launching this campaign at the UBC Men’s Basketball Game on Thursday November 25th – marking a partnership between the Canadian Cancer Society, UBC Varsity Athletics and Fraternities. The varsity teams and fraternities have been fundraising on campus – and we hope to great crowd out at the game in support of the team and our men’s health campaign.
