Holiday Shopping Dilemma Solved!

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

If you’re like me, you have done almost none of your shopping for the festive season.  And you probably aren’t even sure what to look for when it comes to all of the people on your list.

The Canadian Cancer Society can help!

Our 2010 Holiday Gift Catalogue truly has something for everyone.  It’s a lovely opportunity for all of us to help families who are fighting cancer.  You can show you care with gifts starting at just $15 or $35.

And perhaps the greatest joy you will receive this season is the joy of giving, knowing your contribution will truly make a difference in support programs, cancer research and prevention.

Make this holiday season a happy one for you and your family and all those currently fighting cancer.

Thanks so much!

Cancer diagnosis can be a life-altering experience that can leave you with many questions, like: What happens next? What will my treatment be like? How will I decide about treatment options?

The Canadian Cancer Society’s CancerConnection program – is a free and confidential program that puts people newly diagnosed with cancer in touch with trained volunteers who have been through a similar cancer experience.

Talking one on one with a person who has been through some of the roughest parts of the cancer journey can provide a real sense of hope and understanding that can help in recovery.

CancerConnection is available to people anywhere in Canada at any stage of their cancer journey. By calling 1-888-939-3333, a program coordinator will match you with the most appropriate trained volunteer who has been through and survived a similar cancer experience.

Matches are determined by what is most important to the client. It may be that you are looking for someone who had a treatment that you are considering, or someone who had the side effects you are experiencing, or maybe you are looking for someone who had young children at the time of their diagnosis. Whatever your questions, CancerConnection volunteers are there to listen and to help.
